Well this might be disgusting for some of you but sotong masak hitam (Squid with Black Ink) is definitely one of my favourite dishes! Even the italians make pasta out of squid ink. Yeah the black pasta. But this is asian style yo! Especially famous among the Malaysian Johorians.
Like any dish, there are numerous ways to make it. The way I did mine was to mix the uncooked squid with salt, tumeric, curry powder and chilli powder. And of course, dont throw out the ink from the squid, duh. You can opt to use the ink from a couple of squids, or all of them, depending on how black you want it. Fry it with some big onions and and add some water if you like lotsa gravy. You can see that i like mine with lotsa it.
